Omida Trade, or what will happen with containers? We are entering the container sales market in Poland and Europe.

Today, we introduce Dominik and Darek, who are responsible for the development of the new Omida Trade brand within OMIDA Group. We have prepared a few questions that we would like to ask you, so that our customers and the entire Omida team can learn more about your product.

Dominik: We created Omida Trade because we see a huge potential for the use of containers in the transportation, automotive, and other industries. Our experience shows that the demand for purchasing maritime containers is increasing every year. A few years ago, the use of containers was limited to transport and simple storage. For years, the sector of modular homes and offices has been developing - and that's just the beginning. The name Omida Trade combines two components - Omida as a group of entities involved in transport and Trade - as in the sale of something bigger. Currently, we focus on sales mainly in Europe and Asia.

Darek: The new Omida Trade brand marks our entry into the sale of physical products, such as maritime containers. We trade containers and have a complete logistics background, ready to serve business customers who need to quickly order a container and have it delivered to a specified address. The business area of Omida Trade and Omida Logistics are complementary, i.e., container transport and container sales. You could say that Omida Trade combines services offered by the entire Omida Group. We are a partner for other entities in OMIDA Group especially for Omida Intermodal, Omida Logistics, and Omida Sea And Air S.A.

What is your main focus this year?

Dominik: Our goal for 2023 is to enter the TOP 3 of Polish companies offering container sales. We set a big challenge for ourselves, but we are aware that bold goals are the engine of progress. The main plans for 2023-2024 are to build our own office out of containers - through this, we want to show that we are opening up to another industry, which is the sale of modular buildings/homes from containers. This idea has accompanied us from the start, and we want it to come true by the end of this year.

Darek: The first few months of Omida Trade's operation showed us that this year we are focusing on building an effective sales department. Our goal is to invite the best salespeople from the industry and beyond to join our team. We believe that we can infect a "born salesman" with a passion for selling maritime containers. Seeing how the demand for containers is growing, I know this industry is a bullseye.

What benefits does your offer bring to the customer?

Dominik: To put it briefly - containers, transport, depot, and verification - this is a comprehensive offer for business customers.

Darek: Omida Trade is primarily about door-to-door container deliveries - we sell the container, arrange loading and unloading at the specified address in Poland, Europe, and worldwide. Additionally, we offer complementary services - container storage, container branding, and container transport.

Dominik: I would like to add here that we guarantee our customers the best quality containers available in the country.

Who do you dedicate your products to, and what industries do you already serve?

Dominik: We sell one-way containers as well as used containers. Our clients and partners are NVOCC shipowners and companies from the automotive industry, production, and construction industry.

First successes?

Darek: We quickly implemented the sales department and ensured the new Omida Trade brand's profitability. We wanted to have a stable business situation and establish cooperation with new clients - now it's time to expand the team.

Dominik: I think we will be able to observe the first successes at the end of the year. We will make sure that you can see them soon on our website. ;-)

Where can we meet you this year, i.e., what fairs/conferences are you attending?

Dominik: We are constantly building relationships with new clients in the industry in Poland and Europe. We care about our visibility not only on social media - LinkedIn but mainly we want to meet personally with our clients and contractors. This year we can meet in several places across Europe, at the most important fairs and conferences:

MT TSL Poland / Warsaw: April 4-5, 2023 Transport Logistic Germany / Munich: May 9–12, 2023 Polish Intermodal, Poland / Malaszewicze: June 13-15, 2023 TRAKO, Poland / Gdańsk: September 19-22, 2023 Intermodal Europe Netherlands / Amsterdam: October 10 - 12, 2023 TransLogistca Poland / Warsaw: November 7-9, 2023 AntwerpXL Belgium / Antwerp: November 28 – 30, 2023 Darek: Besides, we are open to personal meetings anywhere in Europe or online.
